The client’s requested a contemporary monochrome kitchen that looked high end. The kitchen had to compliment the architecture of the home and be suitable for entertaining. They needed a seating area for four and two separate pantries to suit the depth of their fridge. This was their second kitchen I designed so it had to be different yet re sellable.
The polished concrete floor grounds this kitchen creating an industrial feel to the room, The timber veneer we used on the island adds warmth and interest with the plywood detail. This kitchen has sufficient bench space yet is practical for guests to sit at the other end while the client is at the sink preparing. The strong lines and length in this kitchen give a real sense of space and we achieve the brief by complimenting the architecture with the kitchen colours and design.
